Philanthropic Fashion: Warby Parker’s Latest Collections

I’ve been a long time fan of Warby Parker, not only is their eyewear sleek, chic, and gorgeous, but they're a brand that stands for creating a substantial global impact through their products. Warby Parker’s “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” initiative allows you to shop their beautiful new collections and simultaneously give a pair of glasses to a person in need. Warby Parker has already distributed one million pairs in over 30 countries. 'Tis the season of getting and giving! After the jump check out some of my favorite picks from their 2014 Winter Collection and their luxurious limited edition Concentric Collection.

The “Barkley” (top) and the “Ripley” (bottom) frames are my favorites from the 2014 Winter Collection. Both with a smart and midcentury appeal, the frames shine in the rustic oak barrel color. Non-prescriptive prices start at $95.

The Concentric Collection is unlike any other. Warby Parker worked closely with manufacturers who specialize in a friction process that combines two hues together resulting in a quirky pop of color around the lens in acetate. The collection includes three new styles with interior rings that come in colors hazelnut, flint, fjord blue, and vulcanite. My personal favorites are the crystal “Murphy” (top) and “Benchley” (bottom) frames with a delicate hazelnut ring encircling the lens (sounds delicious). Pricing starts at $145.

  1. I wish I knew about this during my recent search for frames! I love the concept of giving it back, or paying it forward. A lot of these are similar to the ones I gravitate towards typically. I'll have to check out the sun glasses, because you can never have enough of those, right?
