Sudanese Model Grace Bol Is the Standout Star of Thom Browne Resort 2017

Photos Courtesy of Thom Browne
There is no question that Thom Browne is a spectacular designer, but casting Sudanese beauty Grace Bol in the Resort 17 lookbook was a sign of sheer brilliance. The collection itself is what I imagine would occur when the art scene mixes with the country club, and it’s pretty fantastic. There are preppy pleats, delicate floral embroideries, color blocks, and some primary pops to shake things up. There’s something about the way Browne’s pastels bring out the gorgeous hues of Bol’s complexion. Even when photographed with five other models it is impossible to take your eyes off of her. If that was Browne’s goal, consider it accomplished.

NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing Summer Lookbook

Activewear is having a major moment in fashion and Balmain Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing, has added his own golden touch to Nike. Rousteing’s love for football (or soccer as us folks in the states say,) and his gift of design happily merged together to bring new life to Nike’s Summer of Sport collection. With modern silhouettes and distinct embroidery, the collection reflects the essence of sport with a classic, yet luxurious aesthetic. Not to mention, his muse for the collection was none other than football star and super babe Cristiano Ronaldo, who Rousteing enlisted to help keep the functionality of the collection in tact. Check out looks from the collection below!

Summer Must-Have: Angela Roi Vegan Morning Cross-Body Bag

Happy summer sixteen! I know, the summer solstice isn’t for another three weeks, but Memorial Day weekend already happened and I am 100% sure I could fry an egg on the roof of my car – it’s officially summer to me. With that said, let’s talk summer must-haves shall we? During this time of the year there are a few things crucial to your inner peace and well-being, for example: a SPF face primer, cold pressed coconut oil, an undetectable flask to hide your booze in at music festivals, and a cute meets functional crossbody! Of course, one big enough to fit the undetectable flask in. That’s a major key. This is where the Morning Cross-Body by Angela Roi comes in to play in a major way.

Brazilian Beauty Lais Ribeiro Becomes New Face of Bottletop

It's no secret that I have a thing for philanthropic fashion, so I am thrilled to see Lais Ribeiro as the new face of Bottletop handbags. What started as collaborative project between the founder of Mulberry, Roger Saul, and his son Cameron in 2002, Bottletop has expanded beyond its roots as a charitable foundation, currently functioning as a full-fledged fashion collection of gorgeous yet sustainable bags and accessories.

Bottletop uses local artisans from Brazil to create their unique pieces and to help support Brazilian and African communities. Thus, it makes perfect sense as to why they chose the gorgeous Brazilian model as the new face of their latest campaign. Shot by Jerome Duran, Riberiro looks modern and chic while modeling Bottletop’s popular hand crochet works and a printed tote and backpack featuring artwork from artist Wangechi Mutu. Proceeds from the printed handbags go to supporting Africa's Out! – an organization created by Wangechi Mutu that supports LGBTI communities within Africa. Good stuff.

Major Import: Devina Juneja of SUEDE Shares Must-Have Bags for Fall from India

As the seasons change our clothes, shoes, lip, and nail colors do too, to become more ‘season appropriate’ -- but what about our handbags? Should our handbags also get a revamped boost when the leaves start to fall and pumpkin spice everything begins to consume the universe? The answer is yes, yes they should. In the fall, your handbag should mirror all the lovely hues and feels of the season. Buttery browns, toasty golds, vampy burgundies, and olive greens. Of course, the standard black bag is always in vogue, but it’s also no fun.

When I think of the perfect bags for fall SUEDE by Devina Juneja instantly comes to mind. Devina’s bags are handcrafted and unique, featuring some of the richest hues of leather I’ve seen thus far. Check out my interview with Devina as we discuss fall fashion, her brand, and share which of her bags are must-haves for this fall handpicked by Devina and yours truly.
