Contemporary African Style: Agi & Sam Fall-Winter 2014 “Watu Nguvu” Lookbook

British design duo Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton, the men behind the charming brand Agi & Sam, have released the lookbook for their Fall-Winter collection titled  “Watu Nguvu” which translates to “People Power” in Swahili. The menswear collection is inspired by the Maasai people of Kenya and includes crop trousers, nylon vests and the best part of all – plenty of gingham. I love the gingham-checkered pattern and if you ask me it's highly underrated. I would pick it over tartan any day. My favorite piece in the collection is the black & white gingham overcoat (pictured above). Although it's menswear, I love it and think it would be perfect with a charcoal skinny pant and point-toe pumps. Mmm.
