#LFW Review: Simone Rocha Royally Closes London Fashion Week 2014

I consider Simone Rocha, talented daughter of famous Chinese designer John Rocha, to be royalty, fashion royalty. So I found it fitting for her to incorporate her love of feminine beautiful things with the romance of the Elizabethan Era for her Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
Her Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear collection is said to be inspired by the Elizabethan period, which you can see as many of the skirt styles resembled crinolines, all of the embroideries, and the crown-like headpieces thrown in the mix. However, in Simone Rocha fashion, she also kept things modern and powerful with snakeskin leather and grungy tartan. Simone is such a young designer, under 30, yet so culturally rich with a multiracial background and having lived in Ireland, France and now London, there is limitless substance in the beauty of her work.

Last year Simone won the Emerging Talent Award in Womenswear at the British Fashion Awards and with collections like this, she continues to show us why. She is such an exciting talent and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her promising career, including her upcoming collaboration with J Brand.
