Martin Cruz Fights Human Trafficking Through Handmade Jewelry

Martin Cruz is a primer jewelry brand dedicated to creating unique and handcrafted pieces with a focus on fighting for social justice, most passionately fighting to end human trafficking. According to the Huffington Post there are at least 27 million people currently enslaved due to human trafficking. What is more disheartening is that many of these people are women and children who are forced into sex work. Recently I've been hearing stories in the news about young girls being drugged and abducted from public restrooms, in the United States. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reports that 1 in 7 missing girls are likely victims of sex trafficking, with an average age of 14 years old. The reality of being preyed on in such a sinister way is both chilling and unnerving. I don't mean to frighten anyone but I do want to raise awareness, and let you know you can help.

Martin Cruz partnered with The Nomi Network, an organization that gives survivors of human trafficking educational and economic opportunities, to raise funds for survivors through the purchasing of their Woven Leather Bracelet.

Each bracelet is beautifully handmade with an all natural gray and navy blue leather, chosen to represent unity and strength. The bracelet also features the brand's signature silver pineapple as a symbol of hospitality.
