#LFW Review: Barbara Casasola Spring 2015 Ready-To-Wear

Brazilian designer Barbara Casasola used her native country as her muse for her latest collection, which resulted in a dazzling dance of simplicity and sexuality. The more colorful choices were sandy and relaxed, reminiscent of a Brazilian sun setting over the landscape with dusk orange and shimmering metallics. Keeping with the transparency trend that has seemed to have made it’s way from New York runways right into London, Casasola’s collection featured plenty of silk chiffon in seductive garments. But contrary to trend, this collection also featured plissé, which has been a rare sight thus far this fashion month. The plissé skirts packed a heavy punch of beauty with the smooth movement of their puckered fabric down the runway. Bravo.
